IP Publish Request Lifecycle

An IP Publish Request, a request to include a component in the library or classification, can be created for the library or classification. Once entered, it can be either accepted or rejected.

The IP Publish lifecycle includes these states:

Entered

An IP Publish Request is created in the Entered state. A Librarian or Issue manager can review the request, and then either accept it or reject it.

Accepted

The component will be added to the library or classification following your organization's procedures.

The Librarian or Issue Manager cannot directly reject an IP Publish Request that has been accepted. However, the request can be demoted to the Entered state, and then reject it.

Rejected

The request has been rejected and no further action will be taken.

If the Librarian or Issue Manager needs to change a rejected request to an accepted request, then can demote the request to the Entered state, and then accept it.
