Simulation Attribute Group Lifecycle

A simulation attribute group lets you define and configure simulations with a set of attributes specific to the installation.

For more details about working with simulations, see the SIMULIA SLM User's Guide. The Simulation Attribute Group lifecycle includes these states:

Development

The Simulation Methods Developer can edit a attribute group only in the Development state. The owner has complete access to an attribute group in the Development state.

Once all the needed attributes have been defined, the simulation attribute group can be promoted to the Released state.

Released

The Simulation Analyst can create simulations and simulation activities using an attribute group only when the attribute group is in the Released state.

You cannot demote a simulation attribute group to the Development state if it is used by a simulation, simulation activity, or template.

Obsolete

Simulation attribute groups can only be deleted in the Obsolete state.
