Simulation Connector Lifecycle

A simulation activity uses a simulation connector to communicate with an external application such as Abaqus/Standard.

For more details about working with simulations, see the SIMULIA SLM User's Guide. The Simulation Connector lifecycle includes these states:

Development

The owner has complete access to a simulation connector in the Development state.

Released

The Simulation Analyst can create simulations and simulation activities using a simulation connector only when the simulation connector is in the Released state.

You cannot demote a simulation connector back to the Development state if it is used by a simulation activity or template.

In addition, you cannot delete a simulation connector if it is used by any simulation activities.

Obsolete

Simulation connectors can only be deleted in the Obsolete state.
