Upgrading to the Latest Version of ENOVIA Apparel Accelerator for Design and Development Overlay

This section describes the tasks to be executed in below given scenario.

Before you begin:

You have already setup particular release Apparel Accelerator stack and now trying to upgrade to the latest (higher) release of Apparel Accelerator, use the following steps

  1. Install General Availability (GA) tar kit of these products for the latest release.


    • ENOVIA Collaboration Platform Server
    • ENOVIA Collaboration Platform Modeling Studio

  2. Start the mql interface.

  3. Run the command: "set context user creator"

  4. Run the command:

    "set env REGISTRATIONOBJECT eServiceSchemaVariableMapping.tcl;"

  5. Run the command: "upgrade"

  6. Extract files from

    ENOVIAApparelDesignandDevelopmentOverlayPreUpgradeScripts-<CUR_VERSION>.Windows64.zip to some folder or directory. Run the script from this folder as per below table.

    Where CUR_VERSION - Referes to the current release version. Eg. V6R2011, V6R2011x.

  7. If upgrade is performed from an environment with ENOVIA Apparel for Sourcing and Production or ENOVIA Apparel for Sourcing and Production Partners an additional script needs to be run when upgraded from V6R2009, V6R2009x, V6R2010, V6R2010x, V6R2011 and V6R2011x to latest release.

  8. Some libraries have been removed in higher release of ENOVIA Live Collaboration Business Process Services (BPS). Delete these jars from 'STAGING' folder, '<STUDIO_HOME>/java/lib' folder and '<SERVER_HOME>/java/lib' folder.

    Where SERVER_HOME - Refers to location where ENOVIA Server is Installed.

    Where STUDIO_HOME - Refers to location where ENOVIA Studio is Installed.

  9. Install General Availability (GA) tar kit of these products for the latest release:


    • ENOVIA Live Collaboration Business Process Services
    • ENOVIA Program Central
    • ENOVIA Supplier Central (only if earlier stack had ENOVIA Supplier Central)
    • ENOVIA Sourcing Central (only if earlier stack had ENOVIA Sourcing Central)

  10. Install General Availability (GA) tar kit of this product for the latest release:

    ENOVIA Apparel Accelerator for Design and Development Overlay.

  11. Use the steps in Migration Tasks after Upgrading to complete the upgrade process.
