Editing BOM Details

This section describes how to edit the bill of material details in different view.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin:

After released the Ordering Line, the BMC record will be create for the material with BMC Type "Regular Commit".

For Set or Pack Product, user can only edit the BOM Details by clicking the hyperlink of the Colorway at Set or Pack Product level.

Editing BOM Details in Full BOM View

This section describes how to edit the BOM details in full BOM view.

  1. Click BOM Details tab, the page shows the related BOM details of the product with the view of "Full BOM".

  2. Select the BOM item with a change alert and click Actions > Dismiss Alert from the tab toolbar.

  3. The change alert of the selected BOM items and the BOM updated alert (under BOM Updated column from Ordering tab) will disappear.

Editing BOM Details in BMC View

This section describes how to edit the BOM details in BMC view.

  1. Select BMC from the top right drop-down list and click Mode.

  2. For Set Product, click Mode to edit the BMC Details for each sub-product.

  3. For Pack Product, the BOM Details will be grouped by the sub product/color combination. Click Mode to edit the BMC Details for each group.

  4. Edit the following parameters:

    Bulk Lead Time - Enter the lead time, in number of days, for material bulk production.

    Production Dying Lead Time - Enter the lead time, in number of days, for material dying process.

    Material Arrival Date - Click date controller and select a date to indicate when the material is arrived.

    Material AC Date - Click date controller and select a date to indicate the Material AC Date.

    Greige Commit Due - Click date controller and select a date to indicate the Greige Commit Due Date.

    Color/Finish Commit Due - Click date controller and select a date to indicate Color/Finish Commit Due Date.

    Note: By default, the Material AC Date can be calculated by the Material Arrival Date and the Transit Time (from material lading port to material receiving port). Greige Commit Due can be calculated by the Material AC Date and Bulk Lead Time; the Color/Finish Commit Due can be calculated by the Material AC Date and Production Dying Lead Time.

    Material Lading Port - Select a place from the drop-down list to indicate the material lading port.

    Material Receiving Port - Select a place from the drop-down list to indicate the material receiving port.

  5. Click Save to save the changes.

  6. In BMC View, you are able to dismiss alert. See step 2 of this section for how to dismiss alert.

  7. Select the assortment lines to edit the BMM details of multiple assortment lines and click Actions > View/Manage BMM Details, the View/Manage BMM Details page opens and lists the BMM details of the selected assortment lines. Note that only the BOM items with BMC Type "Regular Commit" or "Early Commit" can be shown in this page.

  8. For Set or Pack Product, the sub products of the Set or Pack Product will be shown under the Set or Pack Colorway level in this page.

Editing BOM Details in T&A View

This section describes how to edit the BOM details in Time and Action view.

  1. Select T&A from the top right drop-down list and click Mode.

  2. Edit the T&A attributes for the Set Product and material items.

  3. Edit the T&A attributes for the Pack Product and material items.

  4. Edit the following parameters:

    Include in T&A - Select Yes or No from the drop-down list to indicate whether the material is included in T&A. This parameter will default to Yes and can not be edited when the material is selected to do Bulk Material Commitment (BMC) and, the BMC approval status is Approved.

    Dep Mat - Select Yes or No from the drop-down list to indicate whether the material is the dependency material.

    Description - Enter the description of the T&A record.

    Prod/Mat'l Template - Click to open Search page and select Product Template (if select a template for a product) or Select Material Template (if select a template for a material item) page. Check a template for the product or material and click Submit.

    Production/Bulk Lead Time - Enter a quantity, in number of days, for product production or material bulk production.

    Additional Process Remark - Enter the remark regarding the additional process of the product.

    Dying Lead Time - Enter a quantity, in number of days, for dying process of the material.

    Ship Mode - Select a ship mode for the material.

    Lading Port - Select a lading port for the product or material from the drop-down list.

    Ship To Country - Select a country from the drop-down list to indicate the material will be shipped to this country.

    Material Receiving Port - Select a receiving port of the material from the drop-down list.

  5. Click Save to save the changes.

  6. In T&A view, you are able to dismiss alert, see step 2 of this section for how to dismiss alert.

  7. From the tab toolbar, click Actions > Create/Update T&A, the selected Ordering line without creating Production T&A record will be created. If the Production T&A record has been created for the selected line and there are any changes in Assortment may affect the Production Time and Action, you can click Actions > Create/Update T&A to send the updated information to Production T&A.

  8. Select one of the material items, click Actions > Apply T&A Attributes, the Select Detail to Apply page opens.

  9. Select the T&A attributes and click Next, the Select Assortment line page opens and lists the ordering line(s) with Production Time and Action record created.

  10. Select one or more ordering lines and click Submit, the T&A attributes from the "apply from" line will be applied to the "apply to" line(s).

    Note: For editing the T&A Attributes of multiple ordering lines, go to the Ordering tab and select the Ordering lines, click Actions > View Time and Actions Attributes, the View Time and Actions Attributes page opens and lists the T&A details of the selected ordering lines.

    Note: For Set Product, the sub products of the Set Product are also shown under the Set Product Colorway.

    Note: For Pack Product, the sub products of the Pack Product are also displayed under the Pack Product Colorway.
