Promoting or Demoting the Current LUC

This section describes how to promote or demote the current Landed Unit Cost to another state.

Before you begin:

The following lifecycle statuses are available for an LUC:


  • Preliminary - This is the initial status after the LUC is created.
  • Quoted - All cost elements relating to the terms of the LUC have been entered and you have entered cost information relating to freight, organizational, and miscellaneous costs.
  • Final- All parameters are locked in a Final LUC, and you need to demote the LUC in order to edit it. If the LUC is in Final status you cannot promote associated SUCs from final status.

  1. From the global toolbar, click > Product > Products. The Products page opens.

  2. From the page toolbar, click Categories > Sourcing.

    The PowerView page opens which lists the selected product and BOM variants.

  3. Click corresponding to product or BOM variant.

    The Cost Scenario, RFQ, and Cost Sheet tabs show the respective details.

  4. Click Cost Sheet tab.

    The Cost Sheet tab lists the SUC details of the context product or BOM variant.

  5. Click Name of a LUC.

    The LUC Cost Summary page opens.

  6. From the page toolbar, click Categories > LUC Name.

    The LUC Properties page opens.

  7. In the Properties tab of this page, click from the toolbar to promote the LUC or click to demote the LUC.
