This section describes how to promote the current RFQ round.
Before you begin:
The following lifecycle statuses are available for each round of an
RFQ:
Preliminary: This is the initial status after the round is created.
Submitted
for Quote: You can promote the round status from Preliminary to this
status. A RFQ round must have at least one product and one supplier when
it is promoted to Submitted for Quote. The system then generates one
quotation for each supplier in the round and notifies the suppliers that
quotations are available.
Responses Returned: The system promotes
the round status to this status when all related quotations have been
promoted to Returned.
Completed: The system promotes the round
to this status when all related quotations have been promoted to Completed.
Cancelled:
You can cancel an RFQ in the Preliminary or Submitted for Quote status.
If the RFQ in the Submitted for Quote status is cancelled, the suppliers
will be notified via e-mail. If a RFQ is changed into Cancelled, all
related quotations that are in Preliminary and Returned statuses are
changed to Cancelled.
All the parameters in the RFQ round is read-only once the RFQ status
is promoted from Preliminary.
From the global toolbar, click > RFQs. The RFQs page opens
listing all the available RFQs and quotations.
Click Name of a RFQ record or click at the end of the row.
The Properties page opens.
From the RFQ Properties tab toolbar, click Actions > Promote to promote RFQ round.
