Copying To

You can copy features and sub-features to one feature structure from another. All the features that are selected to be copied to another feature structure must be from the same feature level.


Before you begin: View the Artwork Elements of a Product Line. For more information, see Artwork Elements of a Product Line.
  1. Select the check box of a Master Copy or a Graphic Element.

  2. In the tab toolbar, select Actions > Copy To.

    The Step 1 of 2: Copy To page appears.

  3. Click to select the destination, where you want to copy feature/s.

    The Search page appears with the search results showing appropriate objects in the database.

  4. Select either of the following from the Copy Option field:


    • Clone Selected Features: Copies the feature/s with the properties selected from the Include Related Data field.

      Notes:

      • When you clone the Selected Feature, by default the Local Copy Elements or Copy Element Content is also cloned and get attached to the new feature.
      • The Copy Text field of the newly cloned Copy Element Content is blank.

    • Share Selected Features: Copies the feature/s with all the properties from the Include Related Data field.

  5. Select the properties to be copied from the Include Related Data field.

    This field is only available if Clone Selected Features is selected as the copy option.

  6. Click Next.

    The Step 2 of 2: Selected Features are Copied page appears.

  7. Select the feature from the Structure View in which you want to copy the selected feature.

  8. In the page toolbar, click Insert into Selection.

  9. Click Save to save the changes performed.

  10. Click Close.
