Restricting Report Results to Specific Objects

You can restrict any of the ENOVIA Business Metrics Module reports to specific objects.

  • If Library Central is installed, Libraries and Documentation Classifications

  1. Select the report you want to generate from the > Metrics > Common Reports menu on the global toobar.

  2. Click the Contained In to restrict the report to objects within a specific object.



  3. Enter basic criteria:

    Field Name Description
    Type Click to select the Contained In type or subtype to restrict the search to that type of object.
    Name To search for a specific object, type a Name. Names can include wildcard characters, for example, 001* or *-Version 8. The default is *, which includes all names.
    Revision To search for a specific revision, type the revision number or sequence. Revisions can include wildcards, for example, 5-*. The default is *, which includes all revisions. You can also check the box to limit the search to Latest Revision Only.
    Vault Choose any of the listed options, or click to limit the search to specific vault(s).

  4. To enter advanced criteria, click More. See Entering Advanced Report Criteria.

    If you collapse the More list of attributes, the search function does not use those criteria even if you entered values.

  5. Click Search.

  6. From the Search Results page, select the needed object. You can only select a single object.

  7. Click Submit. The selected object is added to the Contained In field of the report dialog box.
