DesignSync File Versions Page

The File Versions page lists DesignSync files of the associated business object if you have read and checkout access. When you open a file for viewing, it does not lock the file in the server.

You cannot open a DesignSync folder for viewing; see Viewing DesignSync Folders.

When downloading, if you see a "No Objects Found" message and you know there are File Versions for that object, the DesignSync server may be down or otherwise unavailable. Contact your System Administrator for help.

To access this page:


  1. View the Properties page for the business object associated with the file.
  2. From the page toolbar, click Categories > File Versions.



Column Name Description
Version A hyperlink to the particular version of the file. Click to view details about that specific version.
Owner The name of the person who checked in the file.
Check In Date The date when the file was checked in.
Comments The Comments entered when checking in the file.
Viewer Format The format of the file.
Tag Any tag with which the file is tagged, usually a comma-separated list.
Actions The actions you can perform on the listed content. If a particular icon is not displayed, then the item's status does not allow the action. See fileactions

Download

Download the file to your local machine without locking it on the server. Navigate to the folder or directory you want to contain the file. Multiple files are downloaded in a single zip file.


View

View the file in a registered viewer. If no viewer is configured and the mime type is set, the file opens in the browser window.


Check Out and Lock

Check out one or more files to your local machine and lock the files from other users who cannot unlock it. Navigate to the folder or directory you want to contain the file.


Update Files

Update a file to its next version.



Lock

Lock the file without checking it out.


Unlock

Unlock the file without checking in a new version.
