Dates in Web Applications

Dates are in the time zone available to the ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server.

The ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server gets its time zone in the same manner as other ENOVIA Live Collaboration clients and passes time information to a Web client in the time zone it knows about. This means that dates and times displayed on Web clients (including ENOVIA Matrix Web Navigator users and users of other programs that connect via the ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server) are in the time zone available to the ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server, and not necessarily in the time zone of the Web client. For example, if a user in California connects to a ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server in Connecticut that uses Eastern time, times displayed for that user are in Eastern time. Also, if the California user creates objects, the create time is stored in the database based on the Eastern time converted to GMT.
