Setting Personal Preferences

This topic lists environment variables for which you can set a personal preference.

For .ini settings that are intended to specify a personal preference, properties can be added on person objects for Web users to override values set for the server. Only a few environment variables are appropriate to set as person properties for ENOVIA Matrix Web Navigator users, as well as for users of other ENOVIA products. They are:

  • MX_DECIMAL_SYMBOL
  • MX_SITE_PREFERENCE
  • MX_ALIASNAME_PREFERENCE
  • MX_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE

Note: Language aliases are not supported for use with ENOVIA applications. Translations of schema are handled via Java resource bundles. Therefore, MX_ALIASNAME_PREFERENCE and MX_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE should not be set in the enovia.ini file for the ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server.

Refer to the Studio Modeling - Business Modeler Guide or MQL Guide for more information on adding properties to persons.
