Time Zones through ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server

ENOVIA Live Collaboration stores times in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and performs a run time conversion to display them in the client's local time zone. However, times displayed on Web clients (ENOVIA Matrix Web Navigator users as well as users of other programs that connect via a Live Collaboration Server) will be in the time zone available to the server, and not necessarily in the time zone of the Web client. For example, if a user in California connects to a Live Collaboration Server in Connecticut that uses Eastern time, times displayed for that user will be in Eastern time. Also, if that same user creates objects, the create time will be stored in the database based on the Eastern time converted to GMT.

ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server gets its time zone in the same manner as other ENOVIA Live Collaboration clients, and passes time information to the Web client in the time zone it knows about.
