Before any check in, the ENOVIA V6 Import Utility checks the status
of each object in Designer Central.
Any object is valid or selected for check in ONLY if it is NEW / MODIFIED for ENOVIA.
If the object is MODIFIED, it should be unlocked, or the current user must have the lock for the object.
If the objects EXISTS, it is not selected for import.
The following table lists the check in criteria depending on the object
status and lock status:
ENOVIA V6 Import Utility only recognizes CATProduct, CATPart, CATDrawing,catalog, model, CATProcess, CATShape or CATAnalysis as the root files to be imported. Any other file type is not allowed to be checked in individually as root node.The file list contains list of valid CATIA types, which can be opened with individual editors in CATIA.
All viewable types associated with the objects being checked in is processed based on the derived output selection in the Preferences page.
All links (pointed files) of the documents being processed is followed to preserve data consistency. It is recommended to check the data consistency and fix any broken links before the import to ensure that the correct structure is being updated in the database. Eg. CATDuaV5, CATCleaner.
