Configuring Environment for Windows (32-bit or 64-bit)

This section shows you how to configure environment for launching CATIA V5 from ENOVIA and perform checkout for Windows systems.


Before you begin: Ensure that the mxlaunchCATIAV5.bat file is located in the path specified for the PATH environment variable.
  1. Delete, or create a backup by renaming, mxlaunchCATIAV5.bat from the system path.

  2. Copy mxlaunchCATIAV5_Sample.bat from <catia_install_dir>\intel_a\reffiles to the system path and rename it to mxlaunchCATIAV5.bat.

    The location of the bat file varies depending on the CATIA V5 version and its environment.

    The content of the BAT file varies depending on the CATIA V5 version and the underlying OS.

  3. Open mxlaunchCATIAV5.bat in your favorite editor.

  4. Edit the BAT file as follows:

    1. set CATIA_INSTALL_DIR to the location where CATIA V5 is installed.
    2. set ENV_FILE_NAME to the name of the environment file to be used.
    3. set ENV_FILE_LOCATION to the location of the environment file to be used.

      Be sure you do not include any extra spaces at the end of each line.
