Managing Deferred Defect Actions

If a Defect Action is committed for fixing in a product, and then switched to another product or as a candidate for a model, the Defect Action is considered "deferred".

Before you begin: View the Properties page for the Defect Action (see Viewing Defect Action Details) or the Product (see the Product Line Management User's Guide.

  1. From the page toolbar, click Categories > Defect Actions Deferred.


    Deferrals

    For each time the Defect Action was deferred, this page lists these details:

    Defect Action. The name of the Defect Action. Click to view its Properties page. See Viewing Defect Action Details.

    Title. The Title of the Defect Action.

    Product.. The product the Defect Action was committed to prior to its deferral. Click to view the product's Properties page.

    Severity. The severity level (where S0 is the most severe and S3 is the least severe) of the Defect.

    Date of Deferral. The date on which the Defect Action was deferred.

  2. Use the page Actions menu or toolbar to work with deferrals:

    • Remove. Removes the selected deferred Defect Actions from the list; click OK to confirm.
