Overview

The purpose of the P&O Web Administration Console is to facilitate P&O administration by:

  • centralizing services in a single interface
  • providing a means of managing objects remotely, using a standard internet browser, as an alternative to using server-side tools like the ENOVIA V6 MQL or Business applications.

The console provides two tools:


  • My Profile which displays information about the current user: all users connected to the ENOVIA V6 web application can access this command.
  • Configure My ENOVIA which manages (query, create, update) P&O objects and reports information about security, for which the VPLMAdmin role is required.

    There are two basic operating modes:


    • simplified mode enabling you to manage persons, projects and organizations directly and quickly with a minimized set of attributes.

      The Options tab in the Configure My ENOVIA command also enables you to choose to configure either the Rapid Application Configured Environment (RACE) or the Customer-Specific Environment.

    • Advanced tab: used this tab to access the full range of P&O and security objects with a full set of attributes.

Note: Delete operations are not supported in this release.

Note that when you make changes via the Web Administration Console that involve removing security contexts from users, or creating contexts of the type VPLMAdmin.*, you must restart the application server for the changes to take effect.

Regarding restarting the application server, you must also restart the application server after the following operations:


  • after modifying the access rights of an application command (for example, VPLM::IMPORT)
  • after associating a mask with a P&O object (for example, mask::MaskName with context VPLMDesigner.MyCompany.Standard).
