A marketing preference
is based on the value of a left and right expression. The left expression
is the marketing preference condition and can be any valid boolean expression
(with and, or, not, [,],) that includes configuration features as the operands.
The left expression can be left blank or contain one or more selected
configuration features. The right expression includes the marketing choices
or feature options available for the configuration features selected in the
left expression. If the rule has no value for the left expression, the
feature options selected as the right expression are applied to the product
configuration. If the rule has a configuration feature selected as the left
expression, the feature options selected as the right expression are
applied to the product configuration only when that configuration feature
is used.
