Viewing a Subfeatures Table

This task shows you how to view a design variant's Subfeatures table. The Subfeatures table shows all the subfeatures related to a configuration feature selected from the Configuration Features table.

Before you begin: Access the Design Variants page for a logical feature. For details, see Viewing Design Variants.
  1. From the Configuration Features table, click a configuration feature.

The Subfeatures table shows all the subfeatures related to the configuration feature and contains the following information:

Option. The configuration choice name associated with the subfeature. This column contains highlighted links. Click on any name in this column to view the default page for that subfeature.

    Type. The type or subtype.

State. The current state of the subfeature in its lifecycle.

Name. The name of the subfeature.

Selection Type. Shows the selection option of the feature such as "May select only one," "Must select one or more," etc.

Common Group. The common group of the subfeature.

Default. Specifies if the subfeature values are default values.

  2. From the page toolbar to work with the Subfeatures table, use any of the following commands:

    • Add Common Group/Values. Creates a new common group or adds subfeatures to an existing common group. Select one or more subfeatures from the Subfeatures table. You can create a new common group for the selected subfeatures or add the selected subfeatures to an existing common group. For details, see Adding to a Common Group.
    • Remove Common Group/Values. Removes checked subfeatures from a common group. This removes the relationship between all checked subfeatures and the common group. It does not delete the subfeatures from the database.
    • Rename Common Group. Renames a subfeature's common group. Multiple logical features can have configuration features with the same common group name. The subfeatures in each group must be different. For details, see Renaming a Common Group.
