Setting the Rule Display

This task shows you how to configure how objects are displayed in rule expressions and feature options.

  1. From the global toolbar, select Tools > Preferences.

    The Preferences form opens.

    The left side of the form lists the global preferences (see the BPS - AEF User Guide for instructions) and preferences for each application.

  2. In the left frame of the Preferences page, click Variant Configuration or if you are using the ENOVIA Semiconductor Accelerator for Design to Manufacture, in the left frame of the Preference page, click IC Design to Manufacture.

  3. Click Rule Display.

  4. Choose the name type you want the feature name display set for:

    • Click Marketing Name to set the rule display to marketing name for all objects.
    • Click Marketing Name and Revisionto set the rule display to marketing name and revision for all objects. Objects will appear with their marketing name and revision number or code.
    • Click Full Nameto set the rule display to full name for all objects. Objects will appear with their name, type, and revision (ex. French Door Hardware Product A).

  5. Click Apply to set the rule display and have the Preferences window remain open or click Done to set the rule display and close the Preferences form.
