Finding People

When selecting users for fields in dialog boxes, such as an Owner or Approver field, you need to search and select the needed person, role, or group.

  1. In the dialog box, click for the field where a user name should be entered.



  2. Enter search criteria.

    Field Name Description
    Type Shows the type being searched for, Person, and cannot be changed.
    Last Name The person's last name. You can use wildcards, or you can click to select from a list of previously entered values.
    Name The person's username. You can use wildcards, or you can click to select from a list of previously entered values.
    Role Click to show a list of roles and click the needed role. If the field only supports a single name (such as an owner field), no roles display in the list.
    First Name The person's first name. You can use wildcards, or you can click to select from a list of previously entered values.
    Member Search for a person who is a member of a workspace.

  3. Click Search.

  4. Select the needed person and click Submit.
