Creating Document Revisions

This task shows you how to revise a document with files and without files.

  • Right-click on the document or object and select one of the following:
    1. Revise > Revise with Files
    2. Revise > Revise without Files


    • If you selected Revise with Files, a new revision is created with active files and the latest version of all the files that were attached to the previous revision. All attributes in the previous revision are duplicated in the new revision. A confirmation message appears.
    • If you selected Revise without Files, a new revision is created with no files attached. A confirmation message appears.

A new revision is created either with or without files with all the document attributes from the previous revision. The new revision number appears in the Attributes table and in the Rev column of the details about the object.
