A project baseline lets you take a snapshot of the current project plan for future reporting and comparisons.
With the project baseline, a Project Lead or project owner can save the entire project plan estimated dates to track project progress once the project starts.
Baselines are created for projects only and not for project concepts or project templates. Once created, the entire project structure is updated with new baselines based on the current estimated dates. Program Central manages two sets of baselines: initial and current. The current baseline can be updated many times. The initial cannot be updated once created.
To list baselines, view the WBS page in Baseline View.
