Subscribing to Folder Events

A user may subscribe to folder events. Each time the event occurs on the folder you will receive an email or IconMail notification.


Before you begin: Work with the folders for a project. See Listing Folder Content.
  1. Select a project folder and click Folder Subscriptions from the page Actions menu or toolbar or click in the Action column for a folder.



  2. To propagate the selected notification events to all subfolders in the hierarchy of the selected folder, click Propagate Subscription.

  3. Select one or more Notification Events for sending an alert message:

    Content Added. When the folder has a file checked in or uploaded.

    Content Deleted. When a file is deleted that was checked into the folder.

    Content Removed. When a file was removed from the folder.

    Content Modified. When a new version of a file is checked in to the folder.

    Content Revised. When a new revision of a document object is created within the folder.

    Folder Added. When a subfolder is added to the folder.

    Folder Deleted. When a folder or one of its subfolders is deleted.

    Folder Modified. When a folder or one of its subfolders is modified.

    Folder Promoted. When a controlled folder or one of its subfolders is promoted.

    Folder Demoted. When a controlled folder or one of its subfolders is demoted.

  4. Click Done.

    You will receive email notification based on the events you selected.

    To unsubscribe from an event, open the dialog box as described above, clear a check box, and click Done.
