Installing Requirement Capture for Excel

Here you run the ENOVIA Requirement Capture msi that installs the capture toolbar in MS Excel. Once the installation is complete, you will use the Setting on the Capture toolbar to identify the web server location and other user information.

Before you begin: The version of MSI file you download depends on your version of Microsoft Excel.

  1. If needed, expand ENOVIAMicrosoftOfficeRequirementsCapture.zip and then expand ENOVIARequirementsCaptureExcel.zip.

  2. Run the setup.exe file.

  3. When the installation is complete, start the MS Excel application. Notice the location of the Capture toolbar:

  4. From the Capture toolbar, click the Settings icon .

    The Settings page opens.

  5. Complete the Web service Location.

    Using the http://localhost:8080/ematrix, replace the "localhost:8080" with your web address.

  6. Complete the Username and Password fields.

  7. From the Vault drop-down menu, select a storage area.

    If you leave this field blank, the default vault will be selected automatically.

  8. Click Done.
