About Traceability Reports

Traceability reports provide a way to view relationships between requirements and other objects and to ensure that requirements are being met. There are five main categories of traceability reports:

  • Requirement to requirement reports
  • Requirement to feature reports
  • Requirement to test case reports
  • Requirement to functions reports
  • Requirement to logical reports

Within these categories are one or more detailed reports. The types and number of reports available depends on the current object and page.

Note: Traceability reports launched from a requirement specification where an effectivity filter has been applied will be based on the filtered structure.

Requirement to Test Case Reports

The Requirement to Test Case traceability report is a verification report. It verifies, via test validation, whether a product definition meets, or does not meet, the requirements. This report ensures all the input requirements have an associated Test coverage and a status of the Test validation.
