Editing Properties of a Requirement

Authorized Product Engineers or System Engineers can make changes to requirements.


Before you begin:

View the Properties page for the requirement. See Viewing Requirement Properties.

  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, select Edit Details.



  2. Edit any of these attributes as needed:

    Name. The requirement identifier.

    Type. Click to select the type or subtype.

    Title. You can add to or replace the title.

    Description. You can add to or replace the description.

    Owner. Click to change the owner.

    Design Responsibility. Click to select the name of the department of a company or business unit that has design responsibility for the requirement.

    Priority. Select a priority: low, medium, or high.

    Difficulty. Change the implementation difficulty: low, medium or high.

    Sponsoring Customer. Click to change the sponsoring customer of this requirement.

    Requirement Classification. Modify the user classification of this requirement: none, functional, non-functional or constraint.

    Designated User. Click to select the designated user of this requirement.

    Estimated Cost. Modify the estimated cost of this requirement. The field to the right indicates the currency of the cost.

    User Requirement Importance. Select the importance of this requirement: Least Important, Low, Medium, High, Very High

    Requirement Category. Modify the requirement category.

    Synopsis. Edit the synopsis.

    Notes. Modify any notes that may help others using this requirement.

  3. Click Done.
