Generating a a Content Report for a Specification Document

The content report for a specification document lists the corresponding programs (predefined queries) and you can choose one of the queries to execute in order to generate the XML or HTML document.

  1. View the list of specifications. See Listing Specifications.

  2. From the listing, check one specification.

  3. Select Actions > Content Report > Specification Document.



  4. From the Select the Report Type listing, select a query:


    • Specification Structure as plain XML

    Specification structure with Chapters, Requirements, and Comments, including rich-text content. This is rendered in plain XML.


    • Specification Structure formatted as an HTML Indented List

    Specification structure with Chapters, Requirements, and Comments, including rich-text content. This is rendered in HTML.


    • Specification Structure with Sub/Derived Requirements (all levels)

    Specification structure with Chapters, Requirements, and Comments, including rich-text content and sub/derived requirements showing all levels.

  5. From the Specification Root listing, select a specification.

  6. Click Done.

    The content reports are generated.
