Editing Properties for a Use Case

Product Managers and System Engineers can make changes to the basic details and attributes for a use case. The Edit Details page can be accessed from the use case Properties page.


Before you begin:

View the properties of a use case. See Viewing Use Case Properties.

  1. From any object's Categories menu, click Use Cases. The list of use cases for the object opens.

  2. From the use cases list page, click the name of the use case or click . The Categories menu and Properties page for the use case opens.

  3. Right-click on the name of the use case and a menu of actions will display.

    The default actions are Properties, Lifecycle, Add to Collection, Files, Related Files, All File Details.

  4. From the Properties page, click Edit Details. The Edit Use Case Details page opens.



  5. Edit any of these attributes as needed:

    Name. The name of the use case.

    Description. The details that describe the use case.

    Owner. The owner of the use case.

    Notes. The notes for the use case, if any.

    Synopsis. A concise summary of the use case.

    Estimated Duration. The estimated duration of the use case.

  6. Click Done.
