Attribute synchronization ensures that the attributes in the design file on your computer match the attributes of the associated ENOVIA object.
Attribute Synchronization is done each time you open a design in SolidEdge. If you are not connected to ENOVIA while opening a design, the ENOVIA Attribute Synchronization message is displayed. Click Login to ENOVIA to launch the ENOVIA Login dialog box or click Continue Load to load the design without synchronizing attributes. For example, during the design process User A modified the Author and Comments attributes of a design Part A using Properties dialog box in SolidEdge. This modified metadata is not copied to the Part in ENOVIA store. When you search and open Part A with Copy Attributes selected from the ENOVIA Open or ENOVIA Insert dialog box, then the attributes are copied to ENOVIA store for Part A.
Your Integration Administrator specifies which attributes and properties can be synchronized.
Note:
See ENOVIA Designer Central Installation and Administrator's Guide for details on mapping attributes, and enforcing attribute synchronization.
Note:
You can also synchronize attributes when you save a design to ENOVIA.
