Opening Baselined Designs

This task shows you how to open a design from ENOVIA in SolidEdge using an existing baseline.

Before you begin: Baseline must exist for the design.

Baselining Designs

  1. Click ENOVIA > Open in SolidEdge toolbar.

    The ENOVIA Open dialog box opens.

  2. Search for the baselined design in the ENOVIA Open dialog box. See Searching Designs.

    The results are listed in the ENOVIA Open dialog box.

  3. Right-click the name of baselined design and click Baselines .

    The Select Baseline dialog box opens listing the baselines that exist for the selected design.

    For each baseline, the Select Baseline dialog box displays the following columns,

    Baseline. Displays the name of the baseline

    Description. Displays the description entered while creating the baseline.

    If multiple baselines exist for the design, then all the baseline names are listed.

    Note: Baselines are applied only to the node selected during creation and the structure beneath the node does not inherit the baseline.

  4. Select a baseline from the list and click Open.

The design opens in SolidEdge retaining the design's characteristics at the time the baseline was created.
