Installation Overview

This section describes the steps required to install ENOVIA Collaborative Design for SolidWorks. This guide provides the System Administrator and Integration Administrator with the information and instructions needed to install, configure, and maintain an ENOVIA Collaborative Design for SoildWorks system.


Before you begin:
  • Ensure that the MxMCADServlets.jar is in the enovia.ini path before you start the installation. You can also copy the MxMCADServlets.jar available at the location Matrix\java\lib to rmi\java\lib.
  • You should review the ENOVIA Collaborative Design for SolidWorks ReadMe before you begin to install the ENOVIA Collaborative Design for SolidWorks Server and Client components.

ENOVIA Collaborative Design for SolidWorks provides the following administrator documentation:


  • Program Directory. Each version of the application comes with media that includes the program directory for that release. The program directory is a website that organizes all the release information for all Dassault Systemes products for a given release. It contains information about prerequisites, installation, licensing, product enhancements, general issues, open issues, documentation addenda, and closed issues.
