Overview

Welcome to the X-PDM Gateway User's Guide. This guide is intended for users who need to become quickly familiar with ENOVIA to X-PDM exchanges.

X-PDM Gateway Capabilities

The V6 Connector enables to exchange Engineering Bills of Materials (BOM) between ENOVIA V6 and any Non-DS PDM system, also called X-PDM systems. BOM data can be transferred to X-PDM interactively from the ENOVIA light client user interface.

The VPM V6 connector enables to exchange design data between ENOVIA and any Non-DS PDM system, also called X-PDM systems. This guide explains how to transfer design data from ENOVIA to X-PDM systems.

Design data can be transferred to X-PDM by two methods:

  1. Batch Mode : Using XPGClientBatch from V6 session
  2. Interactive Mode : Using 3Dlive or CATIA V6

Before Reading this Guide

Before reading this guide, you should be familiar with basic V6 concepts such as document windows, standard and view toolbars.

We recommend that you read the Infrastructure User's Guide, which describes generic capabilities common to all Version 6 products. It also describes the general layout of V6 and the interoperability between workbenches.
