Inserting Designs From ENOVIA in an Active Design

This task shows you how to insert designs from ENOVIA to a design that is the active open design in AutoCAD as a Block or X Ref.

Before you begin: Design in which you want to insert another design must be open and active in AutoCAD.

Opening or Inserting Particular Version of a Design

  1. Click ENOVIA > Insert > Block or XRef from AutoCAD toolbar.

    The ENOVIA Insert dialog box opens.

  2. Search for the design using Search option in ENOVIA Open dialog box. See Searching Designs.

    The search results are listed in ENOVIA Insert dialog box.

  3. Select the required design and click Insert or right-click the design and click Insert.

The selected design is inserted to the design currently active in AutoCAD in the location (0,0,0) as a block or xref depending on your choice.

Note: You must manually update the renamed OLE documents after Insert.
