Some fields show data based on a particular currency or unit of measure, such as unit price and weight. The system displays this data based on the currency/unit of measure used by the person who enters the data.
While viewing a page that has a currency tool on the page toolbar, you can open a new window to see the field values converted to your preferred currency or unit of measure (for example, change from English units to Metric or vice versa).
Some numeric values are defined with a unit of measure option. This option allows a value to be shown in a unit (such as inches), even if it is stored using a different unit (such as cms) without requiring you to use the Conversion tool. When viewing a page, these values show your selected preference. If you open a page for editing, these fields show the value and units originally entered for that field for that item.
Before you begin: Use any method to view a table of data.
A new window opens showing the values in the selected measurement system. If you do not see a change, make sure your preference is not set to "As Entered".
