Replacing Materials with Alternative Source

You can replace the selected materials in a product BOM with it's alternative source.

Before you begin: Ensure that you are in the View/Edit BOM tab of the bill of material page. See Editing BOM Details.

  1. Select the component (for example, Fabric) that you want to replace in the View/Edit BOM page.

  2. From the Actions menu, click Replace with Alternate Source.

    The Search page opens.

  3. The Search Results page shows list of the existing alternate sources or specify the search parameters for the material alternate source, then click Search.

  4. Select the material alternate source and click Submit.



    The View/Edit BOM page displays in green the materials that are added along with the icon. The material that was replaced displays in red along with a icon.

  5. Click Save.
