Editing a Quotation

This section describes how to edit the details of a quotation.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Ensure that your Administrator has assigned you as Supplier Representative role.

A supplier, or a PO/A acting on the supplier's behalf, is able to edit the quotation in the preliminary status to complete quotation details for each product, including the quotation properties and the product cost information including the material cost, the CMT cost, the shipping and import cost, and the miscellaneous cost. This function is only available to suppliers and PO/As assigned to the RFQ.

Ensure that you are in the quotation Properties page. See Viewing Quotation Properties.

Edit Quotation Properties

This section describes how to edit the details of a quotation properties.

  1. From the quotation Properties page toolbar, click Edit. The Edit Quotation Properties page opens.

  2. You can modify the following parameters:

    Effective From - Click to select the start time of Effective Period during which the quotations from the supplier are valid.

    Effective To - Click to select the end time of Effective Period during which the quotations from the supplier are valid. If this parameter is left blank, it indicates an open period. Note, the Effective To date cannot be earlier than the Effective From date.

    Comments - Enter the any comments regarding the current Quotation.

    Owner - Enter the name of the user who manages the quotation. By default, it is the supplier representative.

    Quote Date - Click to select date when the quotation is returned to the RFQ owner.

    Payment Method - Select the payment method from the drop-down list.

    Payment Terms - Enter the payment terms, such as 0-60 days.

  3. Click Done.

Edit Product Cost Items

This section describes how to edit the product cost items.

Before you begin:

RFQs and SUCs have the same cost items, namely the material cost, the CMT cost, the shipping and import cost, and the miscellaneous cost.

RFQ cost item information does not have the dutiable parameters to indicate whether the costs are dutiable.

Ensure that you are in the Quotation Properties page. See Viewing the Cost Summary.

  1. From the Properties page toolbar, click Categories > Products Details. The Products page opens listing all the available products in the quotation.

  2. Click Marketing Name of a product record.

    The Cost Summary, and BOM tab opens.

  3. From the Cost Summary tab, click Enable Edit.

  4. Edit the Other Material Cost, Total CMT Cost, Total Shipping/Import Cost, Total Miscellaneous Cost, and Other Cost.

  5. Click Save.

    Note: A supplier can only modify the Quantity parameter when editing the material cost information in a quotation of a CMT type RFQ. The Country of Import is read-only in a RFQ but editable in a SUC.
