DesignSync Folder Content Page

You can view the contents of a DesignSync folder associated with a business object from your ENOVIA product.

To access this page:


  1. View the properties page for the folder. See Properties for Documents or Folders Associated with DesignSync Objects.
  2. From the page toolbar, click Categories > Folder Contents.

If you see a "No Objects Found" message and you know there are File Versions for that object, the DesignSync server may be down or otherwise unavailable. Contact your System Administrator for help.



Column Name Description
Icon Indicates whether the content is a file or a folder.
Name The file or folder name hyperlink. For files, clicking on the file name opens the File Versions page. For folders, clicking on the folder name opens the Folder Contents page.

Which Branches page displays for a version is determined by the DesignSync folder definition. For example, for a DesignSync server "sync://900", Path "/enovia/src" and Selector "Trunk:Latest", all files and subfolders of src at Trunk:Lastest are displayed.
Version The version of the file. For folder, this column is empty as folders do not have versions.
Comments The checkin comment for the file when checked into DesignSync. For folders, this column is empty.
Actions The actions you can perform on the listed content. If a particular icon is not displayed, then the item's status does not allow the action. See fileactions

Download

Download the file to your local machine without locking it on the server. Navigate to the folder or directory you want to contain the file. Multiple files are downloaded in a single zip file.


View

View the file in a registered viewer. If no viewer is configured and the mime type is set, the file opens in the browser window.


Lock

Lock the file without checking it out.


Unlock

Unlock the file without checking in a new version.
