Subscription Events for Parts

Subscribing to a part allows you to receive notification about selected events for the part. For example, suppose you want to be notified whenever a part is revised during the course of its design and development. To be notified, you subscribe to alert events for the part. Engineering Central creates your subscription.

Then whenever the part is revised, Engineering Central notifies with you a message containing:

  • The object's type, name, and revision
  • The event that took place
  • The name of the user who made the change
  • The date and time the event took place
  • A URL for the part's information

If a new revision of a part for which you subscribe to events is created, Engineering Central copies your subscription from the previous revision to the new revision.
