The owner and any user in the approval list can promote an engineering change to the Close state if it is in any state except Complete or Reject. After closing an engineering change, the distribution list and owner are notified of the closure.
On the Properties page, click Close from the page Actions menu or toolbar. The Close Engineering Change page opens.
Type a Reason for Closure stating why the engineering change is being closed.
Click Done.
