Editing Details About an Issue

You can edit information about an issue. Only the analyst who owns the issue can change the Responsible Organization.


Before you begin: View the Properties page for an issue. See Issue Properties Page.
  1. On the PowerView page for an issue, select Edit Details from the page Actions menu or toolbar.

    Or

    On an Issues list page, click at the end of the row of the issue you want to edit.

  2. Edit any of these fields as required:

    Field Name Description
    Problem Category Only shows for Issues against DesignSync files/folders. Select an option from the drop-down list:
    • How Do I?
    • Enhancement Request
    • Other
    • Problem Report
    Description Details about the issue.
    Lifecycle Only shows for Issues against DesignSync files/folders. Click the button for Promote or Demote if needed. Otherwise, keep the No Change button selected. You can only promote or demote the issue one state at a time. Actual promotion occurs when you click Done. For more details on working with lifecycles, see Viewing an Object's Lifecycle.
    Owner Click to change the person responsible for the issue. Only an Issue Manager can change the owner.
    Subscribers Only shows for Issues against DesignSync files/folders. Click to add additional people to the list of subscribers. The edit page shows the usernames (not the first name, last name) of people.
    Waiting On Indicates who must next respond to the issue. Default values are Unassigned, Analyst, Customer, or Engineering.
    Escalation Required Click Yes if the issue requires upper management support for resolution.
    Wait On Date Click to change the date on which the person listed in the Waiting On field should respond.
    Estimated Start Click to change the date on which issue resolution will begin.
    Estimated Finish Click to change the date on which issue resolution will end.
    Internal Priority Indicates the relative importance of the issue within the host company. Default values are Unassigned, P0, P1, P2, P3.
    Priority Indicates the relative importance of the issue, set when the issue was created or modified. Default values are Low, Medium, High, Pre-assigned.
    Resolution Date Click to change the date when the issue is expected to be resolved .
    Resolution Recommendation Type an updated recommendation for resolving the issue.
    Action Taken Type any action taken to resolve this issue.
    Resolution Statement Type a description of the actual resolution.
    Steps to Reproduce Type any changes for reproducing the problem causing the issue.
    Policy Change the policy governing the issue.
    Problem Type Select a value from the drop-down list to describe the type of problem addressed by the issue.
    Responsible Organization Click to search for and select the organization, business unit, company, or department responsible for the issue.
    Discussions Only shows for Issues against DesignSync files/folders. Enter any needed text in the box and click the Public Reply or Private Reply button. You can also participate in discussions from your Discussions page or the Discussions category for the issue. See Working with Discussions for details.

    Only employees of the ENOVIA host company, and its business units, divisions, and departments, can view Private messages.

  3. Click Done.
