When a manufacturing plan is no longer needed, it can be archived for future reference. Manufacturing plans cannot be deleted. Archived plans are only visible from the Archived tab of the Manufacturing Plans page and are not available for selection. Archived plans cannot be search for or cloned. Archived plans maintain all of their logical feature and child manufacturing plan relationships. If a related object is deleted, the relationship will be dropped from the archived plan.
To archive a manufacturing plan, select the plan in the Manufacturing Plans page and click Archive from the page Actions menu. The plan will be moved to the Archived tab for the context logical feature or product. Archived manufacturing plans are goverened by a separate policy with a single state of Archived. A manufacturing plan can only be archived if it is not used in any parent plans. If a plan is used in another plan, an error message will appear and it will not be archived.
An archived manufacturing plan can be reactivated by selecting it in the Archived Manufacturing Plans tab and clicking Re-activate from the page Actions menu. A plan should not be reactived with intention of using it like it was used before it was archived. Plans should only be reactived for cloning purposes.
