Monitoring Live Collaboration Server using Monitoring Agent

You can monitor the ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server using a tool called the Monitoring Agent. This tool is delivered together with the Server and monitors availability, performance, security, and usage throughout the different layers of ENOVIA Live Collaboration and other ENOVIA components, such as the DS License Server. These layers include the kernel, VPM, and ENOVIA applications. The monitoring agent is a stand-alone process launched from a command line. After the agent is configured to monitor an ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server instance (the agent can monitor only one server instance at a time), it periodically gathers monitoring information on the server, maps it to standard IBM Common Base Event (CBE) monitoring format, and saves it to the local machine where it runs. The monitoring agent can run on either the same machine as the ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server or a different machine in order to reduce its impact on ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server performance.
