Checking Out and Inserting Models

This feature is used to checkout designs from ENOVIA and insert the design to the active model in CATIA V5.

Before you begin:


  • Ensure that the model in which the checked out model should be inserted is the active design in CATIA V5.
  • Find the objects to checkout is selected using Designer Central Search or Powerview page.
  • Ensure that the required objects are selected in Search Results or Powerview pages

  1. From the page Actions menu, click Actions > Checkout to open the Checkout page opens.



    Ensure that the required Checkout options are selected or specified in the Checkout page. See Checking Out and Loading Objects for details on options in Checkout page.

  2. Select the objects in the Checkout page and click Checkout. A message asks you to select Checkout from the ENOVIA V6 menu in the CATIA V5 application.

  3. Click ENOVIA V6 > Checkout > Insert.



    The selected designs are inserted.



  4. Click Escape or Ctrl+C to cancel the operation.
