Viewing Properties

You can view the ENOVIA properties of a document directly inside the CATIA V5 Properties panel. However, the properties cannot be edited.

Note: Using the Properties command, you can access most of a document’s ENOVIA properties directly in CATIA V5. However, to edit the properties, or to access the complete range of Designer Central operations, use the Explore in ENOVIA command. For more details on using the Explore in ENOVIA command, see Managing the Document Lifecycle and other Designer Central Operations.

Before you begin:
  • Ensure that the design is saved in ENOVIA.

Searching Documents

  1. From CATIA V5 menu, right-click on a document and click Properties to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Click More.. to view the ENOVIA V6 tab.

    The attributes of the design in ENOVIA are displayed. In the RACE setup, the following additional values are displayed:

    • Organization
    • Project
    • Created On
    • Last Modified On

    Note: An error message is displayed in the panel if you are not connected to ENOVIA.

    Note: For documents which are not saved to ENOVIA V6, only tentative values for Type and Name are displayed. All other fields are empty.

    Note: The fields displayed and their layout may have been customized by the administrator.

  3. Click OK or Close to close the dialog box.
