Editing Multiple Defects

When viewing the list of Defects Reported for a product, you can open an edit page to update many of the columns shown in the list.

To edit Defect details not shown on this edit page, see Editing a Defect's Details.

Before you begin: View one of these category pages:
  • Defects Reported category for a Product
  • Duplicate Defects category for a Defect
  • Related Defects category for a Defect

  1. Check the Defects you want to edit.

  2. From the page toolbar, click Edit.

  3. Edit the values for any of these columns:


    • Title. Update the title text as needed. Not editable from the Duplicate Defects or Related Defects pages.
    • Description. Update the text description as needed. Not editable from the Duplicate Defects or Related Defects pages.
    • Severity. Click the option that indicates how severe the Defect is, where S0 is a showstopper and S3 is the least severe.
    • Priority. Click the option that indicates the priority for fixing this Defect, where P0 means the highest priority and P3 is the lowest priority.

  4. To make the same change to more than one Defect, follow these steps:

    1. Check the Defects you want to update.
    2. Select the Column name from the list box. You can update any of the columns listed above.
    3. Enter a value for that column in the Value box.
    4. To apply the change, click:


      • Apply to Selected. Only updates those Defect Actions that are checked.
      • Apply to All. Updates all Defect Actions on the page whether or not checked.

  5. Click Done.
