Viewing Environment Details

The Environment describes the specific configuration in use when a Defect was discovered.

For software applications, the Environment defines the computer environment is use when a Defect was discovered. Your ENOVIA Business Administrator defines the environment characteristics appropriate for your product development. These characteristics can vary dramatically from a software product to an appliance or to a semiconductor.

Before you begin:

View the Properties page for the needed Defect. See Viewing Defect Details.
View the Properties page for the Defect Action. See Viewing Defect Action Details.

From the page toolbar, click Categories > Environment.

This page lists each Environment Characteristic and its value for the Environment. For a Defect reported against a software application, this page could list these details:
- Client OS. The operating system on the client computer (for client/server applications).
- Browser. The browser in use by the end user.
- Server OS. The operating system on the server computer (for client/server applications).
- Http Server. The web server.
- Database Server. The database server with version number.
- Installed Applications. Any installed applications pertinent to defining the environment.
