Viewing Environment Details

The Environment describes the specific configuration in use when a Defect was discovered.

For software applications, the Environment defines the computer environment is use when a Defect was discovered. Your ENOVIA Business Administrator defines the environment characteristics appropriate for your product development. These characteristics can vary dramatically from a software product to an appliance or to a semiconductor.


Before you begin:
  • From the page toolbar, click Categories > Environment.



    This page lists each Environment Characteristic and its value for the Environment. For a Defect reported against a software application, this page could list these details:


    • Client OS. The operating system on the client computer (for client/server applications).
    • Browser. The browser in use by the end user.
    • Server OS. The operating system on the server computer (for client/server applications).
    • Http Server. The web server.
    • Database Server. The database server with version number.
    • Installed Applications. Any installed applications pertinent to defining the environment.
