Replacing GBOM Objects

You can replace an object with another object in a GBOM or GBOM part table.

System Engineers can replace parts in a GBOM part table for features in the Release state with an Engineering Change (EC) in the Active state. When the part is replaced, the feature is moved to the Affected Items list for the EC with a Reason for Change value of "Requested Change." The feature also becomes the default Reported Against item for the EC.

Before you begin: Access the GBOM or GBOM part table for an object. For details, see Viewing GBOMs or Viewing a GBOM Part Table.
