Search Within

The Search Within command allows you to search for items anywhere within the classification hierarchy of a library, including from the library level itself. You can also search within a folder.

It can be used at any level in the hierarchical structure of libraries, or at the library level with all attributes used within the taxonomy.

The scope of the library search includes all the classes (part family, general class, or document family) in the library, and the attributes related to child classes. These attributes are not guaranteed to be included in the types being searched for as they might have been added many levels below the class where the search originates.

To access this page, see Searching Within a Library or Folder.

The search dialog box shows the attributes organized by attribute groups within the library hierarchy. If searching a Part Library, you can search for parts; if searching a General Library or folder, you can search for any object in the hierarchy. If searching a Document Library, you can search for documents.

The top of the page is the same for all searches except the folder content search. The additional attributes will be different based on the type of library.

The drop-down list on the toolbar lets you restrict the search results to specific attribute groups. If this drop-down list does not show on the page, your system is not configured for this feature.

The Classified End Items Results page lists the results.
