Locking and Unlocking Documents

The Lock / Unlock option enables you to toggle between the Lock / Unlock status of an object that exists in the ENOVIA database.

  1. From the ENOVIA V6 ribbon, click to lock the file.

  2. From the ENOVIA V6 ribbon, click to unlock the file.

Note: If you attempt to Lock / Unlock an object that does not exist in the ENOVIA database, an error message appears indicating that the file is unrecognized and the operation has failed.

Note: If you attempt to Lock / Unlock a document that is not saved on the hard disk, an error message appears informing you of this.

The document is either locked or unlocked. You can verify if it is locked or unlocked by clicking Attributes and checking the Is Locked attribute.
